iDTGV selects MediaContact

iDTGV choose MediaContact for the management and daily updates of its mobile fleet.

240 PDAs given to supervisors and station agents are now managed and updated daily with MediaContact. Eager to continually improve passenger comfort and to manage train space efficiently, iDTGV can now rely on MediaContact to communicate arrival-city itineraries or any type of information that would optimize their clients’ traveling experience.

After opening new destinations and increasing ticket sales, iDTGV wanted to improve the performance of the PDAs given to supervisors and station agents. "iDTGV’s large growth in activity lead us to integrate a professional remote maintenance and administration solution for our EDAs (Enterprise Digital Assistants). After studying the tools available on the market, we selected MediaContact Entreprise by Telelogos, which met our specific needs with very pertinent solutions,” explained Fréderic Chofardet, MediaContact Project Director and Production Director of the iDTGV Information Services Department.

Currently equipped with bar code readers, iDTGV PDAs facilitate passenger travels, notably by:

  • controlling tickets
  • consulting train routes
  • rerouting passengers
  • providing correspondence data

Our MediaContact software goes even further, performing:

  • nightly file updates: train composition, seat validity, and train cartography
  • real-time mobile fleet management
  • software maintenance

"Ever since we implemented MediaContact Entreprise, it has met our needs, and has brought the flexibility and the reactivity required to maintain a fleet of EDAs dispersed throughout the whole area. The quality of service that we can now provide to iDTGV supervisors and station agents in turn allows them to better serve our clients," concluded Antoine Fontannel, iDTGV Information Systems and Distribution Director.
